Baleadas are a traditional Honduran dish consisting of flour tortillas folded and filled with refried beans, cheese, and other delicious ingredients. Perfect for breakfast or snack time, they are easy to prepare and absolutely delightful.

Step-by-step preparation
Mix flour with salt. Add warm water and melted butter. Knead until you get a soft and elastic consistency. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
Divide the dough into 8 portions. Form balls and stretch each one into a thin circular shape on a floured surface.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each tortilla 1-2 minutes per side until flexible and lightly golden.
In another skillet, fry the eggs to your liking. Also heat the refried beans in a small pot.
Take each tortilla, place refried beans in the center, add shredded cheese and fold the tortilla in half.
Place the baleada on the plate, top with a fried egg and accompany with sour cream. Serve hot.
